Preventative Pet Health
At Ellsworth Animal Hospital, LLC, we are fully committed to your pet’s health and happiness. That’s why we recommend bringing them in for regular wellness exams and vaccinations. By doing so, we’ll be able to treat issues before they arise.

Spay | Neuter
We highly recommend pets be spayed or neutered at 5-6 months of age if not intended to be a breeding animal. This prevents many different conditions and cancers that could be life-threatening. It is important to do this when they are puppies and before the female's first heat cycle before problems arise.
It is important for your dog and cat to have routine dental examinations and cleanings. In order to clean the teeth effectively we have to place your pet under general anesthesia. We can also extract teeth at the same time if necessary.
We offer kennels in our indoor heated and cooled building. We provide clean water and food twice daily along with outdoor time and walks. All dogs must be current on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccinations before boarding. All cats must be current on rabies. If your pet has been vaccinated elsewhere, we do require proof of vaccination at the time of service. Please call (785) 472-5175 to make reservations.
